‘Beginners’ Gets Release Date

The Christopher Plummer-Ewan McGregor dramedy to open in theaters June 3rd.

Beginners set for June release Focus Features has set a June 3, 2011 release date for Beginners, a dramedy starring Christopher Plummer and Ewan McGregor.

According to Variety, writer-director Mike Mills's semi-autobiographical film tells the story of a man whose father comes out of the closet and announces he has a young lover.

Beginners will open the same weekend as 20th Century Fox's Matthew Vaughn-helmed X-Men: First Class.

Beginners was released June 3rd, 2011.
