Being Batman is getting in the way of Ben Affleck's next project as a director. Delays on Batman Vs. Superman have caused Live by Night's release date to bump up. It was originally scheduled to land on Christmas 2015, but will now make its debut nearly a year later on October 7, 2016.

This adaptation of Dennis Lehane's novel is set to be Ben Affleck's directorial follow-up to Argo and will mark his fourth turn behind the camera. The story centers on a Boston petty thief who becomes the Gulf Coast's most successful rumrunner. Gone Baby Gone, which marked Ben Affleck's directorial debut, was also based on a book by the author.

Warner Bros. has given Take Shelter and Mud director Jeff Nichols's sci-fi chase thriller Midnight Special a November 25th, 2015 release date. The film will be going up against Disney and Pixar's The Good Dinosaur.

Finally, the studio has given an Untitled New Line comedy a November 13, 2015 release, and set an untitled pair of Warner Animated Group projects for February 10, 2017 and February 9, 2018.

Right now, Live by Night and the three untitled projects all have their release dates to themselves.
