Paramount Pictures has issued a March 25, 2016 release date for the upcoming sequel Beverly Hills Cop 4, while Warner Bros. issued the exact same release date to its thriller Geostorm. No other movies are currently scheduled for relaese on that date.

After being rumored for several years, Beverly Hills Cop 4 finally got back on track at Paramount in December, after Jerry Bruckheimer finalized his first-look deal with the studio. Eddie Murphy is set to reprise his iconic role as Axel Foley, with Brett Ratner directing from a screenplay by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec which is based on the failed pilot that CBS did not order to series. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer also revealed earlier this month that production will begin later this year, with a story that takes Axel Foley back to his hometown of Detroit.

Geostorm has Gerard Butler attached to star as a satellite designer, who teams up with his estranged brother to save the world from a man-made storm, while an assassination attempt against the President's life unfolds. Dean Devlin is directing from a script he co-wrote with Paul Guyot, Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller. Shooting is expected to begin this fall.
