Earlier this week, we reported that producer Jerry Bruckheimer has finalized a three-year first-look deal at Paramount Pictures, which will go into effect in April 2014, after his Disney deal expires. During a recent interview about signing on with Paramount, the producer revealed that his upcoming thriller Beware the Night has been given the new title Deliver Us from Evil. Here's what he had to say about the project.

"I just finished a picture at Screen Gems, which turned out terrific. It's a very hard R-rated movie, a paranormal thriller. It's a new genre that I never approached, not in this vein. It's low-budget for me. I loved experiencing something completely different."

The thriller stars Eric Bana as an NYPD cop who begins investigating cases involving demonic posessions, werewolves and other supernatural occurences. Olivia Munn, Joel McHale, Édgar Ramírez and Sean Harris also star. Scott Derrickson directs from a script he co-wrote with Paul Harris Boardman.
