Get ready for Madea mayhem! In Tyler Perry's Boo! A Madea Halloween, Madea winds up in the middle of madness when she spends a hilarious, haunted Halloween fending off killers. There are also paranormal poltergeists, ghosts, ghouls and zombies thrown into the mix while she keeps a watchful eye on a group of misbehaving teens. Lionsgate has released the first teaser trailer. And guess what? It looks terrifying.

This scary trailer kicks off with an unknown virus spreading around the world. We're promises that an unimaginable terror will be awakened. This is accompanied by shots of zombies crawling out of the wet ground and running amok. But things quickly turn from scary to hilarious as Madea interrupts the harrowing news update with the best bit of dialogue you'll hear in any movie this year.

"Boo! Bitches!"

Yes, Boo! A Madea Halloween reintroduces everyone's favorite cantancours grandma with this instantly iconic quote. And Halloween will never be the same for anyone. While at first this looks like the best movie ever made, we soon learn that the zombie horde descending on Madea's front stoop is just a bunch of high schoolers pulling a big prank. That doesn't stop Madea from waging a war against the tricksters.

"Why you running? WHY! YOU! RUN-DING? I don't play that Halloween bullsh*t!"

In Boo! A Madea Halloween, you don't fear the dead. You fear Madea! Tyler Perry Studios announced in January that production had started on a new Madea film, which will be distributed by Lionsgate. The film releases October 21st, 2016. Tyler Perry wrote, produces, directs, and stars in this latest project with the popular character Madea. Ozzie Areu and Will Areu will also be producers on the film.

The film's origins date back to when Perry and Chris Rock conspired to include a fictitious Madea Halloween movie in Chris Rock's film Top Five. Lionsgate then approached Perry and suggested that they make the movie for real. Here's what Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Co-Chairs Robert Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger had to say in a joint statement.

"We are thrilled to reunite with the iconic Tyler Perry, one of the greatest creative forces in entertainment and a beloved and cherished member of our Lionsgate family. Boo! a Madea Halloween brings together two great Lionsgate traditions -- Madea and a Halloween movie -- and we know that audiences will find the combination outrageous, hilarious and unbeatable."

Perry will play the roles of "Madea," in addition to the roles of "Joe" and "Brian." The film will also star Bella Thorne as "Rain," Cassi Davis as "Aunt Bam," Patrice Lovely as "Hattie," Andre Hall as "Quinton," Yousef Erakat as "Jonathan," Lexy Panterra as "Leah," Diamond White as "Tiffany," Liza Koshy as "Aday," Brock O'Hurn as "Horse," Jimmy Tatro as "Sean," JC Caylen as "Mikey," Kian Lawley as "Bean Boy," and Mike Tornabene as "Dino." Productionhas since wrapped in Atlanta.

Tyler Perry Studios (TPS) was formed by actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry in the fall of 2008. The studio develops and produces motion picture films, in addition to drama and comedy television programming for the multi-platform U.S. television market. The 200,000 square foot studio lot is situated on the former Delta Airlines campus of more than 30 acres in the Greenbriar area of southwest Atlanta. The studio consists of five sound stages, a post production facility, a pond, a back lot, a 400-seat theater, a private screening room, and designated areas for entertaining and hosting events. Since its opening, Perry and the studio's 400 Atlanta-based employees have been hard at work in production of over fifteen films and five television series, with over 90 total episodes per year. In 2015 TPS announced plans to expand operations with the acquisition of Fort McPherson, adding another 330 acres to create another major movie production studio lot. Take a look at the first trailer, which is nothing short of amazing.
