Brad Pitt Circles ‘Pontius Pilate’ Biblical Biopic

Brad Pitt circles Warner Bros' Pontius Pilate projectBrad Pitt is in talks to join Warner Bros' biblical epic revolving around the life of Pontius Pilate, the judge at Jesus Christ's trial who sentenced God's son to death by crucifixion.

Vera Blasi wrote the screenplay for this epic drama, which will center on the fifth Prefect of the Roman province of Judaea from AD 26-36. The movie will be based on historical fact, and chronicle the life of Pontius Pilate leading up to the sentencing and crucifixion of Christ.

Brad Pitt most recently appeared in Andrew Dominik's Killing Them Softly, and will next be seen in Marc Forster's zombie adaptation World War Z, where the actor plays a Christ-like figure.

No production schedule for Pontius Pilate been announced.
