Brad Pitt is circling an untitled World War II romantic thriller that is set up at Graham King's GK Films.

The project doesn't have a distributor at this time, but a major director is expected to be announced shortly, with an eye towards shooting in early 2015. Steven Knight (Eastern Promises) wrote the script, although no story details have been released at this time.

The actor recently wrapped production on another World War II movie, director David Ayer's Fury, which he stars alongside Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña, Scott Eastwood and Jason Isaacs and Jon Bernthal. He also starred as the Nazi hunter Aldo Raine in director Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds back in 2009. He is also coming off of producing and co-starring in Best Picture Winner 12 Years a Slave, while currently developing the zombie sequel World War Z 2.

Steven Knight's other writing credits include Redemption, Closed Circuit and the upcoming films Locke and The Hundred-Foot Journey.
