Brad Pitt is in negotiations to star in the heist comedy Cogan's Trade, to be directed by Andrew Dominik from a script he wrote.

According to Variety, if Brad Pitt joins Cogan's Trade, the actor would be reuniting with Andrew Dominik, who wrote and directed 2007's The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, in which Brad Pitt starred as Jesse James.

Produced by Plan B and Chockstone Pictures, Cogan's Trade centers on the man behind the hit man -- a professional enforcer who investigates a heist that takes place during a poker game under protection of the mob.

No production date has been set.
