We reported on Friday that The Tudors star Henry Cavill has joined Mabrouk El Mechri's new film and now two high-profile stars have signed on as well. Deadline New York is reporting that Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver have been cast in The Cold Light of Day.

The film centers around Cavill's character, whose family was kidnapped while they were on vacation in Spain, and he has just hours to find them while delving through a government conspiracy. Willis will play the father of Cavill's character while Weaver will play the lead villain, a role that was originally written for a male actor.

Mabrouk El Mechri is directing from a script by Richard Price, who rewrote the original script by Scott Wiper and John Petro.

Filming was said to begin on September 6 in Spain.
