According to Variety, Bruce Willis will next star in 16 Blocks, to directed by Richard Donner for Millennium Films and Willis' Cheyenne Prods.

The production is slated to begin this summer in Gotham.

Written by Richard Wenk, story concerns an aging cop who escorts a witness to the nearby courthouse and the adventure that takes place during their brief walk.

This will be Donner's first pic since the 2003 adaptation of Michael Crichton's time-travel drama Timeline, which he directed for Paramount.

Willis' latest pic, Hostage, bows Friday through Miramax Films.
