The director of last year's horror hit The Strangers will be dealing with strangers of a different variety for his new film project. Deadline New York is reporting that Bryan Bertino will direct the factual thriller This Man.

Bertino will also write the film, which will be based off the social experiment website ThisMan.org, a site set up by Italian sociologist Andrea Natella that delves into the phenomena of thousands of people across the globe who have all seen the same man in their nightmares. The film will center on that man, as he learns that strangers who he has never met have seen him in their dreams.

The film is set up at Ghost House Pictures, with Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert producing alongside Bertino and his producing partner, Adrienne Biddle.

No production schedule was released for the film.
