Bryan Cranston, who last weekend won his third straight Emmy Award for his turn as Walter White on Breaking Bad, will host an episode of Saturday Night Live this season, according to The Los Angeles Times.

Bryan Cranston announced the news on ESPN Radio's Mason & Ireland program. He also said that he will host the show on October 2. Here's what Bryan Cranston had to say on the radio show:

"I'm so thrilled and excited."

It will be the first time Bryan Cranston has hosted Saturday Night Live. He had said in an earlier interview that he always wanted to host the comedy program:

"Would I like to host Saturday Night Live? Hell, yes, I'd love to. But it's not going to have a big impact on my life if it doesn't happen."

We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further news regarding upcoming guest hosts on Saturday Night Live as soon as we have the information.
