In anticipation of the final Dawn of the Planet of the Apes trailer, which is set to debut Wednesday, 20th Century Fox has released an extended TV spot which tracks the history of 2011's Rise of the Planet of the Apes. It started with Caesar (Andy Serkis), a baby chimpanzee whose mother was under a new type of Alzheimer's drug that gave apes a higher intelligence. Then came the simian flu that wiped out most of the human populace. The apes didn't just survive it, they evolved. It's been ten years since the fall of man, and now a new species is taking over. Watch as the last few remaining human survivors try to make peace with the chimps. Things get off to a rocky start, but a truce doesn't hold as the events of one of sci-fi's most iconic franchises are set into play, leading us into a world completely dominated by a new type of war gorilla. In theaters this summer.

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth's dominant species.
