Actor Caleb Landry Jones (X-Men: First Class, Contraband) is in negotiations to star in Queen and Country, a sequel to the 1987 Best Picture nominee Hope and Glory.

The original drama followed nine-year-old Bill Rowan growing up in London during the blitzkrieg of World War II. The sequel follows a grown-up Rowan (Caleb Landry Jones) who gets shipped off to serve in the Korean War.

John Boorman, who directed Hope and Glory, will take the helm for this sequel, working from his own original screenplay. The filmmaker will also produce alongside Kieran Corrigan. Production will take place in London, although an exact start date hasn't been determined yet. This will be John Boorman's first directorial effort since The Tiger's Tail in 2006.

Caleb Landry Jones will next be seen in Antiviral and Byzantium.
