Production has been wrapped for nearly three months on Marvel's first Phase Three adventure Captain America: Civil War, but only the lucky fans at the D23 Expo have seen any footage from the movie so far. Last month, a rumor surfaced that the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War will be attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which hits theaters on December 18, but that has not been confirmed quite yet. While we wait for more details to surface from this superhero adventure, Twitter user Vision In a Tux has revealed two leaked pieces of promo artwork, Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) squaring off in an epic showdown.

The Captain America: Civil War plot picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

It isn't immediately clear where Vision In a Tux obtained these images, and it isn't known if they are official or not. Still, we do know that the movie centers on these two heroes becoming at odds with one another, with several of their superhero friends joining each side as a massive battle begins to develop. We'll have to wait and see if these images are authentic in the weeks and months to follow.

The concept art from August revealed Iron Man's team includes War Machine (Don Cheadle), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Vision (Paul Bettany) and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). On Team Cap, we have The Falcon (Anthony Mackie), The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). One hero whose affiliation hasn't been revealed is Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch, who has been rumored to be in a romantic relationship with Vision (Paul Bettany).

Joe Russo and Anthony Russo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) are directing from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The directors and writers will then move on to the epic Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Avengers: Infinity War - Part II, which will hit theaters in May 2018 and May 2019, respectively. Check out this leaked promo art, and stay tuned for more on Captain America: Civil War.
