Captain America: Civil War kicks off Marvel's Phase Three next year, with a monstrous cast that features several returning cast members from Avengers: Age of Ultron, along with a slew of new characters. One of the new characters fans will be introduced to is Baron Zemo, who has been confirmed as the primary villain in this superhero adventure, played by Daniel Brühl. While promoting his new film Burnt, in theaters this weekend, Daniel Brühl made a surprising revelation during an interview with Business Insider, stating that his character does not wear the iconic purple mask from the comics.

"He does not wear the mask. You would be surprised, it's different than what you'd think. It's loosely connected to this character. But that's what I like about the Marvel guys, some of the characters and things they're dealing with always reference to current events so my character is from a different area than you would think."

In the Marvel Comics, Baron Zemo was always clad in a purple cloak, after a vat of powerful adhesive, known as Adhesive X, spilled all over him during a fight with Captain America, preventing Zemo from ever removing it. The villain was also connected to the Nazis, but it isn't known if that connection will still exist in this upcoming movie. The actor also mentioned that he also may be coming back for future Marvel movies.

"There's a possibility. That's the way it's written."

We reported last month that Captain America: Civil War will mark the end of the Captain America trilogy, although Chris Evans' title character is expected to return in Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Avengers: Infinity War - Part II. Those movies are expected to be the last on his Marvel contract, and there is speculation that he may be killed off at some point in the two-part adventure, which, along with Inhumans, will bring Phase Three to an end.

As of now, there is practically nothing we know about Phase Four, except that the studio recently set three untitled movies for release in the year 2020, which will most likely kick off Phase Four. It's possible that we could see Baron Zemo in Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Avengers: Infinity War - Part II, but it isn't currently known how the studio plans on using this villain in the future. What do you think about these new details?
