In just under one month, Marvel will launch its Phase Three lineup with Captain America: Civil War, in theaters May 6. The movie will not only introduce two new heroes, with Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and the new Spider-Man (Tom Holland) making their Marvel Cinematic Universe debuts, but it will also showcase Daniel Brühl, who has long been rumored to play the villainous Baron Zemo. During a recent interview with Total Film, courtesy of MCU Exchange, the actor wouldn't say much about his character, since there are so many secrets in the movie.

"I was really told not to because there are so many secrets in the film. And also my character's quite mysterious, so I'm really scared to say too much. The things I've mentioned in interviews before were already too much - and I thought it was nothing! What I like is it's not a stereotype. It's not a guy who's mean and sinister, but he's actually very clever - a very smart guy who does everything out of a very understandable reason and motivation."

Marvel's Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps, one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark's surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. Daniel Brühl did add that his character is responsible for some of the conflict in this upcoming movie.

"Some of the things that happen in the film, and why they happen, are because of him. He is orchestrating things that happen throughout the film. I think that's something I can say, goddam it!"

Team Iron Man includes Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Vision (Paul Bettany), War Machine (Don Cheadle) and the new character T'challa (Chadwick Boseman), who will make his debut in this movie before starring in Black Panther, set for release on February 16, 2018. Team Cap includes Captain America (Chris Evans), The Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan). Marvel's Captain America: Civil War also stars Frank Grillo as Crossbones, William Hurt as Thaddeus Ross, Daniel Brühl as the villainous Baron Zemo and Tom Holland as Spider-Man.
