In just 10 short days, the summer movie season will kick off in grand fashion with the release of Marvel's first Phase 3 movie, Captain America: Civil War. As we get closer and closer to the May 6 release, new merchandise has been unveiled, with Hot Toys debuting their new Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) figure. The company announced that this release will be available sometime in either the third or fourth quarter of this year, so stay tuned for date details.
The highly accurate Hot Toys 1/6th scale collectible is crafted based on the image of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow in the film. This figure specially features a newly developed head sculpt, along with movie-accurate facial expression, make-up and long curly brownish-red real fabric hair implantation. The figure's body comes with over 28 points of articulations, standing approximately 28 cm tall. The figure also comes with eight (8) pieces of interchangeable gloved hands including one pair of fists, one pair of relaxed hands, one pair of hands for holding pistols and one pair of hands for holding baton/nightsticks. Each piece of head sculpt is specially hand-painted.
The costume features a completely new tailored one-piece black colored jumpsuit with detail texture, belt and holsters on thighs, with one pair of black colored platform boots. The Black Widow Collectible Figure also comes with two pistols, two extended nightsticks, two retracted nightsticks and two batons. This adventure splits the Marvel universe in half, with heroes joining forces with either Captain America or Iron Man. Team Iron Man includes Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Vision (Paul Bettany), War Machine (Don Cheadle) and the new characters T'challa (Chadwick Boseman) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland). Team Cap includes Captain America (Chris Evans), The Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan). Captain America: Civil War also stars Frank Grillo as Crossbones and William Hurt, reprising his role from The Incredible Hulk as Thaddeus Ross.
