Last week, fans around the globe finally got their first look at Captain America: Civil War when the trailer and new posters debuted. We still have several months left until Marvel's Phase Three adventure hits theaters on May 6, 2016, but it isn't known when we may get the next trailer. Until then, Comic Book Movie have gotten their hands on leaked promo art for this superhero thriller, which shows Captain America locked in battle with Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman).

2011's Captain America: The First Avenger established that Cap's shield is made of vibranium, a rare metal only found in Black Panther's homeland of Wakanda. Last year's Avengers: Age of Ultron also introduced another character from Wakanda, Andy Serkis' Ulysses Klaue, who is one of T'challa's enemies in the Marvel Comics. Black Panther will be joining Iron Man's team in Captain America: Civil War, and as you can see from the promo art, his claws are able to damage Cap's seemingly-indestructible shield.

Earlier this week, directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo revealed that Black Panther's suit is actually made from a vibranium mesh, which explains why his claws can cut through Cap's shield in this artwork. While we know that Black Panther is technically on Iron Man's side when this battle begins, we reported earlier this week that T'challa hasn't quite made up his mind about which hero he should side with. There have been rumors that T'challa's father T'chaka, the current leader of Wakanda, will either die or pass on the Black Panther legacy to his son.

Marvel's Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps-one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark's surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. Get ready to pick a side and join the nonstop action playing out on two fronts when Marvel's Captain America: Civil War opens in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2016.

Back in August, new promo art debuted for Captain America: Civil War, which revealed that Black Panther is on Iron Man's side, along with War Machine (Don Cheadle), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Vision (Paul Bettany). Team Cap includes Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), The Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Sharon Carter/Agent 13 (Emily VanCamp) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). The promo art didn't reveal which side Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland) will be fighting for, but, hopefully we'll find out more information soon. Take a look at this leaked promo art featuring Cap doing battle with Black Panther.
