We still have a little over five months before Captain America: The First Avenger arrives in theaters on July 22. That hasn't stopped Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios from readying a sequel. Screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have been hired to write Captain America 2.

Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are the writers behind Captain America: The First Avenger, and it is believed that the sequel will be set in the present day. Captain America: The First Avenger is set in the aftermath of World War II, in the 1950s. No plot details have been released for the sequel.

In related Captain America: The First Avenger news, Tommy Lee Jones recently spoke about playing Colonel Chester Phillips. Here's what he had to say below.

"The character I play is the one you've seen in a thousand movies: the gruff, skeptical officer overseeing a team of talented, slightly sarcastic, specially talented soldiers."

He also talked about Phillips' initial reaction to Steve Rogers and his transformation into Captain America.
