‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ Reshoots Happening

Captain America: The First Avenger heading back to the U.K. for reshoots Though Captain America: The First Avenger will hit theaters in just a few months, on July 22, it seems U.K. reshoots will be happening in a few weeks.

A Marvel press event recently took place in New York City, where the legendary Captain America shield was on display. A Marvel staffer revealed that the shield was actually used in the movie and is now being sent back to the United Kingdom for reshoots.

While reshoots aren't an uncommon happening, they sometimes may indicate that there is trouble with the production. It isn't clear if the studio is unhappy with the current cut of the film, or if the reshoots are just simple tweaks to the movie.

Captain America: The First Avenger wrapped production in October 2010. It isn't known if these reshoots will have an effect on the July 22 release date yet.

Captain America: The First Avenger was released July 22nd, 2011.

LOTR; Return of the King had multiple re-shoots and that won 11 Oscars. It doesn't mean the movie won't be good. Stanley Tucci, an excellent actor, said the only reason he took his role was because the script was so well-written.

I think Cap and Thor both look great. I'm more excited about Thor because I wasn't as big a fan of Cap, but this movie may change that.

Also, why is it that all fanboys go on about wanting comic book movies made, then act like they hope they fail?

Last Airbender should have been re-shot beginning with the first frame. A New director would have helped too. Capt. and Thor don't look good. Hope I'm wrong. I hate spending $12 on a film just to be right.

Well, come what may, still far more pumped for this film than I am for Thor.

The Last Airbender had a reshoot if you can believe it.

I bet the director saw it and just thought "this looks cheesy"

People get their panties bunched too easily. Oscar-winning pictures often have re-shoots. For all we know an extra was scratching himself in a pivotal shot so they had to scrap it. No big deal. Both Thor and Cap look up to snuff. I'll be there in the theater to see both.

I loved the way the Thor "announcement trailer" looked. I have high hopes for it...

I only saw the 30 second Captain America superbowl spot, and thought that it looked great as well...

@Deathsquad secure that sh*t lol! How can that be "proof"? Do you honestly think thaat re-shoots don't happen with nearly every movie, you just don't hear about it unless it's a big title. And i promise you that Cap will deliver.
