Actor Mark Strong told UK's The Telegraph that the role of Maid Marian in director Ridley Scott's Nottingham is going to Cate Blanchett, who will replace the recently departed Sienna Miller who dropped out of the project after being deemed too thin and youthful to star opposite a bulked up Russell Crowe.

"I think Cate Blanchett is set to take the Maid Marian part," said Strong, who is expected to play Sir Guy of Gisbourne. "She is a wonderful actress and it would make it a much classier film if she was in it."

Russell Crowe stars as the Sheriff of Nottingham in the film, written by Brian Helgeland and expected to release November 6th, 2010.
