It seems that CBS Films is moving one of its upcoming summer films to avoid a conflict with another film that stars another former High School Musical star. CBS Films has updated its Facebook page for its upcoming film Beastly with the news that it is moving the film out of its July 30 release date. The reason given was to avoid conflict between that film, which stars Vanessa Hudgens, and Charlie St. Cloud, which stars Hudgens' High School Musical co-star, Zac Efron. Here's the statement they left on the Facebook page.

Beastly fans-You guys are awesome-so we wanted to make sure you were the first to hear the official news, Beastly is moving off of July 30th. We've been hearing from fans, so we know that having both Zac and Vanessa's movies opening on the same day could be a real dilemma for people, so we are moving Beastly. We'll keep you posted on all the latest, so keep checking back here for all things Beastly.

It seems the "dilemma" started last month when we reported that Efron's Charlie St. Cloud was moving to July 30 to fill the release date slot for the Matt Damon film The Adjustment Bureau, which was moved from July 30 to September 17.

No official details were given on a new release date for Beastly but we'll be sure to keep you posted as soon as we have more information.
