We reported yesterday that the hit CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother was given a sixth-season order and apparently the network struck another deal with the creators for a brand new show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS has issued an order for How I Met Your Mother creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas' new pilot, entitled Livin' On a Prayer.

Bays and Thomas wrote the pilot along with How I Met Your Mother writer-producers Kourtney Kang and Joe Kelly. Not much was said about the storyline, but that the show would be set in Pittsburgh and center on a young couple and their friends.

The pilot pickup could lead to an interesting Monday-night scenario at the network, with Chuck Lorre's hit half-hour comedies Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory paired in an hourlong block and Bays/Thomas' How I Met Your Mother and Livin' On a Prayer in another hourlong block.
