Following the two TV spots released earlier this week for Sony Pictures' Chappie, the studio has released a slew of high-resolution photos from director Neill Blomkamp's sci-fi drama, which hits theaters nationwide March 6. Cast members such as Hugh Jackman, Sigourney Weaver, Dev Patel, Jose Pablo Cantillo and Brandon Auret are featured in these photos, along with the title android himself, voiced by Sharlto Copley.

Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. Like any child, Chappie will come under the influence of his surroundings - some good, some bad - and he will rely on his heart and soul to find his way in the world and become his own man. But there's one thing that makes Chappie different from anyone else: he is a robot. The first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself. His life, his story, will change the way the world looks at robots and humans forever.

As he did with his first two films, District 9 and Elysium, Neill Blomkamp directs from a script he co-wrote with his wife Terri Tatchell. Chappie was also recently given an R rating for "violence, language and brief nudity" by the MPAA, keeping the director's streak of all R-rated movies intact. Do you think this tale of an android prodigy will strike a chord with viewers? Chime in with your thoughts (including what you think of Hugh Jackman's haircut), and stay tuned for more images and footage before Chappie hits theaters March 6.
