According to The Hollywood Reporter, Charlie Day (co-creator of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Christina Applegate will be joining Drew Barrymore and Justin Long in New Line Cinema's Going the Distance.

Nanette Burstein will be directing this project.

Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot are producing this project through their company Offspring Entertainment.

The script from writer Geoff LaTulippe shows viewers a couple (Barrymore and Long) as they try and keep a relationship going that is hindered by distance. Day will play Long's best friend and Applegate will be Barrymore's sister.
