ABC has officially greenlit the pilot for a reboot of Charlie's Angels, which originally ran on the network from 1976 to 1981.

Smallville creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar wrote the pilot script. Reportedly, an offer is out to Gossip Girl director Mark Piznarski to direct the pilot.

Drew Barrymore, who starred as Dylan Sanders in the theatrical Charlie's Angels reboot, is executive producing through her Flower Films production company.

Leonard Goldberg, who executive produced the original series, and Nancy Juvonen will also executive produce the series for Sony Pictures Television.
