The rights for Clark Gregg's adaptation of Choke were picked up by Fox Searchlight for $5 million. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Sundance deal would cover North America and most worldwide territories.

Based on the Chuck Palahniuk novel, Choke, stars Sam Rockwell who plays a sex addict who fakes choking in restaurants to get his way into the lives of the customers. Anjelica Huston will play his insane mother who spills some family secrets and then starts to completely lose her mind. This will be the second adaptation for Chuck Palahniuk, whose Fight Club was an incredible success.

An official release date for Choke has yet to be announced.
