According to Variety, Chris Cooper is starring in The Road Back by scribe Matthew McDuffie for Fortress Entertainment.

The pic is the story of a man dealing with the breakdown of his marriage and an increasingly icy family relationship in the wake of the suicide of his daughter, an Iraq war veteran.

Fortress' Brett Forbes and Patrick Rizzotti are producing.

Cooper recently wrapped Universal's Jarhead, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and produced by Red Wagon's Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher. He's also starring in the upcoming MGM/Sony pic Capote, in which Philip Seymour Hoffman plays the legendary scribe Truman Capote.
