Shortly after reviving his famous Sex and the City role as Mr. Big in the sequel series And Just Like That... on HBO Max, actor Chris Noth has been hit by sexual assault allegations from two different women. The report, published by THR, notes that the accusers (40-year-old Zoe and 31-year-old Lily) had separately approached the outlet with their stories and reportedly don't know each other. Both women also say that the reemergence of Noth in the national spotlight had triggered painful memories, leading to them both going public.

For his part, Chris Noth has denied these allegations, telling The Hollywood Reporter, “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”

To protect their identities, the accusers are both using aliases. Zoe claims that she met Noth in 2004 when she was 22 years old at the time. She picked up a job at a high-profile firm in Los Angeles which was frequented by celebrities, and that's where Noth allegedly pursued her.

“He would walk by my desk and flirt with me. He somehow got my number from the directory and was leaving messages on my work phone. My boss was like, ‘Mr. Big’s leaving messages on your voicemail,'” Zoe says.

Zoe's then-boss claims to have witnessed Noth speaking with Zoe along with listening to some of the messages the actor had left on the 22-year-old's voicemail. The ex-boss says she found it "odd" that the 49-year-old actor would focus his attention on Zoe, but because this was at peak Sex and the City fame, it didn't ring any alarm bells, as they saw him as a "god."

Shortly thereafter, Zoe says she was invited to Noth's apartment, claiming that this was where the sexual assault took place. She initially spoke with the police about the alleged assault, but says she didn't disclose Noth's name due to concerns she wouldn't be believed. She now notes that this was many years before the #MeToo movement.

Noth's second accuser, Lily, was working as a server in the VIP section of the No. 8 nightclub in New York in 2015. As a fan of Sex and the City, she was starstruck when Noth began "hitting on" her, admitting that she was flattered despite knowing about his marriage. Lily, who was 25 at the time, gave Noth, 60, her number when he asked her out on a date to Il Cantinori, a location featured in Sex and the City.

After the two met for drinks, Lily alleges she accepted his invitation to go back to his apartment to sample his assortment of whiskey. She obliged and alleges Noth "forcibly" assaulted her there. According to THR, a subsequent text from Noth to Lily read, “By the way I have to ask did you enjoy our night last week. I thought it was a lot of fun but I wasn’t quite sure how you felt.” The two kept things fairly friendly, as Lily says she was trying to "minimize" the incident, but the two never met up again, though Lily agreed to dinner at one point before canceling.

And Just Like That..., along with classic episodes of Sex and the City, can be found streaming on HBO Max. Those who've seen the first episode will know that it's not necessary at this point to write Mr. Big out of the series, as that's already happened. Peloton has also removed a new viral ad poking fun at Mr. Big's big scene in the Sex and the City revival after the assault allegations were published.
