Clifton Collins Jr. is the latest to join the growing cast of Open Road Films' crime thriller Triple Nine.

The story centers on a group of corrupt police officers, who are blackmailed by the Russian mob to pull off a nearly-impossible heist. They realize that the only way to execute the heist is to manufacture a Triple Nine (999), the police code for officer down. Their plan goes awry when the rookie cop they set up for his execution turns the tables on them, setting up finale filled with twists and double-crosses.

No details were given for Clifton Collins Jr.'s character, but he joins a cast that includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael B. Jordan, Casey Affleck, Kate Winslet, Aaron Paul, Teresa Palmer, Gal Gadot, Michael Peña, Woody Harrelson and Clifton Collins Jr.'s co-star in The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, Norman Reedus.

John Hillcoat is directing from a screenplay written by Matt Cook, with Steve Golin, Keith Redmon, and Bard Dorros producing. Shooting is scheduled to begin next month.
