Clint Eastwood had previously stated that his performance in the 2008 drama Gran Torino would be his last in front of the camera. But the prolific Hollywood icon has changed his mind, and in a recent interview, revealed that he is open to acting again as long as the project is something incredibly special.

He then went onto state that he would play James Bond if offered the role. Here is what Clint Eastwood had to say about returning to the other side of the camera:

"I would act if the right role came along. But I'm not looking to do it because there are not that many great roles that would be something different for me to play, to conquer. I don't know, I never say never, like James Bond or something."

Clint Eastwood will next direct Leonardo DiCaprio and Judi Dench in the biopic J. Edgar. At this time, there is no word that he will be appearing in the film.
