Cobie Smulders, who played S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill in last summer's blockbuster Marvel's The Avengers, confirmed in a recent interview that she will reprise her role in The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

"I think I'm in Avengers 2, but it is very top secret. I hope I'm in Avengers 2. I didn't get my invitation yet. Well, actually, they know I'm in it but they don't know to what degree I'm in it."

The actress also said that she's excited to read the script, primarily because they are introducing new characters Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and his sister Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).

"I am really excited to read the script because they are introducing Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch into the Avengers universe and the bad guy (James Spader's Ultron) is going to be very interesting."

Cobie Smulders returned as Maria Hill in the pilot for ABC's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. She will next be seen in the DreamWorks comedy Delivery Man, opening in theaters November 22.
