Colin Farrell Says the ‘Warcraft’ Script Is Amazing

Colin Farrell calls the Warcraft script amazingBack in September, we reported that Legendary Entertainment issued an offer for Colin Farrell to star in Warcraft, which Duncan Jones is directing. While it isn't known if negotiations are under way, the actor recently spoke about the project, saying the script is amazing.

"Don't know what's happening, man. I read the script, if that's any use to you, and it's amazing... Duncan was cool. I sat with Duncan for awhile and read the script, loved the script, and we was as cool as can be. I don't know what's happening with the film. I don't know where they are in the process...It's just a world that I never explored - and it's a really big and fantastical world. I can't imagine what he, being as visually gifted as he is, Duncan, and what he did on Moon with, like, a dime, I can't imagine what he'd do with this Warcraft."

When asked what character he is playing, the actor wouldn't reveal any specific details.

"Can I? I probably shouldn't. I don't even know, actually, I'll just say that! I don't even know. We were just talking, and Duncan just said, 'There might be something in it for you!' And I said, 'Catering?' [Laughs]"

Paula Patton, Anson Mount and Paul Dano are also in contention for unspecified roles. Production is scheduled to begin in Vancouver sometime next year.

Warcraft comes to theaters June 10th, 2016.

I like that it is called Warcraft. Makes it sound like an origin story.

I would never praise a story early, it takes ages to get it right and don't forget the many drafts. So Colin should hold his tongue until it is the final draft.

If a scene doesn't gel, then it needs to be rewritten.

It's okay to promote a film, but asking silly questions like this one doesn't bold well.

If it were amazing, it would have a better cast.

When stories come out of actors, directors, creators, etc, praising "this" and "that" WAY early on, the films end up being junk or just passable. I'll wait and see it on screen before agreeing with Mr. Farrell :P

I'm really rooting for Jones to pull this off, and Farrell seems like a bloke willing to join him on this adventure, so I'm all in. Just hope Jones gets around to doing "Mute".
