Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed in an interview at Comic-Con yesterday that the villain Thanos will be a part of Guardians of the Galaxy. The villain first showed up during a scene at the end of the Marvel's The Avengers credits, and many believed he would be the villain in The Avengers 2, before the official title was revealed last night as The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Here's what the producer and Marvel executive had to say at Comic-Con yesterday.

"I think somebody on the Guardians of the Galaxy surprise panel today, let loose that Thanos is a part of the movie, which he is. Thanos plays a part in Guardians as a mastermind. He very much exists at nearly another plane than any of the other characters. We have very big plans for him, over the course of a long, long time."

When asked if the villain would be involved in multiple movies, the Marvel president and producer had this to say.

"Yeah. We saw him smirking at us at the end of the first Avengers, and the next time we see him will be in Guardians."
