After Legendary Pictures revealed the first official Warcraft logo earlier this week, many fans believed that the highly-anticipated video game adaptation would make a surprise appearance during Legendary's Hall H panel at Comic-Con. As it turns out, those fans were right, as director Duncan Jones took the stage to show fans the first footage from this video game adaptation. While the footage isn't online quite yet, you can take a look at the animated title treatment below, before checking out a description of the footage.

The footage is narrated by one of the unspecified human characters, who says, "I've spent more time protecting my king than my own son. Does that make me loyal or a fool?" We then see the Orcs for the first time, with one Orc revealing in a voiceover, "I've lead thousands of warriors into battle. Does that make me a leader or a coward?" Then the question, "Is war the only answer?" is shown before quick glimpses of the massive battle are shown.

Duncan Jones went on to explain that Warcraft will be an origin story that shows how Azeroth perpetuates the brewing conflict between humans and orcs.

He also talked about working with Blizzard, the company who puts out the video games, and Legendary Pictures.

"This has been a dream of theirs for a long time and I'm in a unique place and lucky to work with Legendary and Thomas Tull to make a Warcraft movie."

Principal photography recently wrapped, but the movie won't be hitting theaters until March 2016. Are you excited to see this Warcraft footage? We'll keep you posted if Legendary posts it online, so stay tuned.
