Wesley Snipes headed down to San Diego this weekend to promote his action-packed sequel The Expendables 3 at Comic-Con 2014. In two separate interviews, the actor addresses the possibility of reprising one of his most iconic roles, the vampire-killer Blade.

While it doesn't seem that any definitive plans are in place yet, the actor told MTV that he would be open to returning for Blade 4.

"I'd be open to it. I think we've got some stones left unturned and there's some latitude left for us to build on and I'd love to get back in the suit again and do some things I've learned how to do now that I didn't know how to do then. I think we're better at making that kind of a film now. Some of the things we did in the early parts of the franchise were experimental and now they've become customary in a lot of the Avengers films and other comic book adaptations."

In a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor joked that the sequel should follow the Daywalker as he hunts down the Twilight vampires.

"Blade chasing the Twilight kids around? Hey man, there's always a possibility, and I'm open to it. There have been rumors around that we may explore the opportunity, so give me one more shot! I've gotten a little bit better, and I think we can add a little flavor to it."

Back in May 2013, Marvel Studios reacquired the rights to Blade and other properties such as The Punisher, Ghost Rider and Daredevil. Later that month, we reported that Marvel is developing a Blade reboot, but that would essentially mean that we won't see Wesley Snipes return to reprise his famed character, which he played in 1998's Blade, 2002's Blade 2 and 2004's Blade: Trinity.
