Conan O'Brien has signed on to voice a role in the animated sequel Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 for Warner Home Video.

The Conan host is stepping into familiar territory, portraying Dave Endochrine, a late night talk show host who interviews The Joker, upon his release from Arkham Asylum. We reported last month that Michael Emerson (Lost, Person of Interest) is voicing The Joker. Here's what Conan O'Brien had to say about his love of animation.

"I've got a great affection for animation. I've always been interested in drawing, and I grew up on the Warner Bros. cartoons - which is where I think I learned a lot of my comedy. I think I got a lot of my comedic timing from the Road Runner and Bugs Bunny cartoons."

Peter Weller and Ariel Winter reprise their roles as Batman and Robin from Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1. David Selby (Commissioner Gordon), Michael McKean (Dr. Bartholomew Wolper), and Mark Valley (Clark Kent/Superman) also star. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 debuts on Blu-ray and DVD sometime next year.
