Synopsis:

Ten-year-old baseball fanatic Yankee Irving (voiced by newcomer Jake T. Austin) is always the last one picked for sandlot baseball games. But when Babe Ruth's prized bat is stolen during the 1932 World Series, Yankee steps up to the plate to help retrieve it for his beloved idol. He embarks on a wild cross-country journey that teaches him the stuff real heroes are made of, and along the way, Yankee learns the importance of perseverance and the true meaning of friendship.

What if you had one chance to be a hero? Well, then step up to the plate for Everyone's Hero, one of the year's most fun-filled animated adventures the whole family will love, debuting on DVD March 20th from Fox Home Entertainment. Honored with the Dove Foundation Seal of Approval and praised by critics as "sweet" (USA Today), "uplifting" (Star Magazine), "adorable" (LA Family Magazine) and "extraordinary" (New York Press), Everyone's Hero was the dream project of the late actor/director Christopher Reeve, who served as the film's original director and executive producer. A funny and inspirational tale of a young boy who believes he can make a difference if he just hangs in there despite overwhelming odds, Everyone's Hero features an incredible voice cast line-up of Hollywood all-star sluggers including Whoopi Goldberg, William H. Macy, Rob Reiner, Raven-Symone, Forest Whitaker, Robert Wagner, Brian Dennehy and Mandy Patinkin. Everyone's Hero DVD will feature a "Making Of" featurette, "Remembering Chris" featurette, director/writer commentary and more. An exciting tale of baseball and bravery that is a grand slam for all ages, Everyone's Hero will be available for the suggested retail price of $29.98 U.S. / $43.48 Canada.
