As modern society is consumed by zombie carnage, four desperate survivors barricade themselves inside a shopping mall to battle the flesh-eating hordes of the undead. This is the ferocious horror classic, featuring landmark special effects by Tom Savini, that remains one of the most important – and most controversial – horror films of all time. When there’s no more room in Hell, the dead will walk the earth: The ultimate Dawn Of The Dead has arrived!

Dawn Of The Dead was shot almost entirely in the Pittsburgh area. Over 1,600 Pennsylvania natives volunteered to be the army of walking zombies and a majority of the mall scenes had to be shot at night, after regular business hours. Additionally, Romero makes a brief cameo appearance in the film as a TV station manager.
