Director Chan-wook Park has inked a deal to direct Ruby Films' crime drama Corsica 72.

The film is set on the island of Corsica in 1972. The story centers two friends, who chose different paths in life. The first is a honest hard working man and the latter is a thug. The friendship becomes compromised when a girl comes between them. Writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade wrote the screenplay, which made the 2009 Black List.

The director is best known for his Vengeance trilogy, which includes Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy and Lady Vengeance. He most recently wrapped up Stoker starring Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode and Nicole Kidman.
