Instead of using star Liam Hemsworth to sell the drama Cut Bank, A24 has released two very different posters utilizing two very different styles. The first one-sheet takes on the look and tone of a 1970s thriller. The second piece of art weighs heavily to the left of that, evoking memories of Norman Rockwell.

Liam Hemsworth stars as Dwayne McLaren in Cut Bank, a young man who dreams of  escaping small town life with his girlfriend Cassandra (Teresa Palmer). When Dwayne witnesses an awful crime, he tries to leverage a bad situation into a scheme to get rich quickly but he finds that fate and an unruly accomplice are working against him. Thrust into the middle of a police investigation spearheaded by the local sheriff (John Malkovich), everything goes from bad to worse in this all-American thriller.

Matt Shakman, known for his work on the FXX comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, makes his directorial debut with Cut Bank. It co-stars Billy Bob Thornton, John Malkovich, Bruce Dern, Oliver Platt, Michael Stuhlbarg and Sonya Salomaa. While we don't see any of them in this latest artwork, we do get a sense of what this thriller has in store as one Montana town experiences it's first murder, set agains a group of outcasts who may just turn on each other.
