If there's anything to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, it's that your holiday won't be interrupted by killer rabbits, like the ones we see in our exclusive trailer for Cute Little Buggers. This first-look footage shows what happens when a seemingly-peaceful village is torn upside down by the arrival of zombie-like bunnies which causes the town's residents to band together. As you can see in this footage, this B-movie creature feature is one of a kind.

From the Director of Deadtime and Crying Wolf comes Cute Little Buggers! Will you let them take our women? It's Gremlins meets Hot Fuzz set in the English countryside. When hostile aliens crash land on local farmland the villagers at the summer ball get suspicious when young women start going missing. The villagers soon band together around our hero Melchoir to fend off the invaders, who take the form of killer rabbits, and bring back peace to the sleepy English countryside!

It isn't know what the budget is for this movie, but it seems to be low enough that it could be quite the profitable hit, if this movie finds the right audience. Still, finding this elusive audience is quite pivotal, and without it, this creature feature may fade into obscurity without it. But, if it does hit big, it could become one of the most profitable movies to arrive in 2017. That likely won't happen, though, unless this film finds U.S. distribution of some sort, even if it is only a straight-to-video or a Digital/VOD only release. Perhaps this exclusive trailer can help this unique film find the right distributor to allow for a wider release in the United States and abroad.

The ensemble cast includes Caroline Munro as Mystic Mary Dani Thompson as Becca, Angela Holmes as Phillis Tiller, Gary Martin as Randy Rocksoff, Sara Dee as PC Hitchins and Kristofer Dayne as Melchior Haslam. The supporting cast includes Mark Johnston as Harvey, Lesley Scoble as Lisa, Stu Jopia as John, John R. Walker as PC James, Eryl Lloyd Parry as Professor Williams and Dean Mitchell as Niall Worth. This horror comedy doesn't have a domestic release date yet, but it will arrive in U.K. theaters on February 10, 2017, courtesy of Brainy Monkey.

Tony Jopia directs this horror comedy from a script he co-wrote with Garry Charles, Andy Davie and Kristofer Dayne. The director's previous credits include Deadtime, Crying Wolf, Offline and the TV series Suicide Platoon. He also has another film entitled Apocalypse that stars Leo Gregory (Green Street Hooligans). Cute Little Buggers was crafted in the same B-movie fashion as cult classics such as Critters, Ghoulies and Grabbers.

If the February 10, 2017 release date is carried over to the U.S., it will face some major competition. Also set to open in the U.S. on that date is the sequels Fifty Shades of Grey, John Wick: Chapter Two and the spin-off The LEGO Batman Movie. Take a look at the new trailer below for the horror comedy Cute Little Buggers, as we get closer to the U.K. release date.
