When the Star Wars: Episode VII cast was finally announced back in late April, the one name fans weren't at least slightly familiar with was British actress Daisy Ridley, who was later confirmed to be the female lead. Today, Deadline reports that the actress is slated to return for the impending sequels Star Wars: Episode VIII and Star Wars: Episode IX, slated for release in 2017 and 2019 respectively.

The report reveals that the actress has just signed with UTA, among "heated competition" from other top talent agencies, and that "the plan is to carry her through" for both Star Wars: Episode VIII and Star Wars: Episode IX, which will be written and directed by Rian Johnson.

While no story details have been confirmed for Star Wars: Episode VII yet, we reported last month that the story (WARNING: SPOILERS!!!) centers on Daisy Ridley and John Boyega's characters, who find a severed hand with a lightsaber attached to it that belongs to Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). After they meet up with Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), who confirm that it is Luke's hand, they go on a journey to find Skywalker.

Of course, even if those plot details turn out to be true, we still have no clue as to what adventures will be in store for Daisy Ridley's character in Star Wars: Episode VIII and Star Wars: Episode IX.
