Dakota Fanning and Ryan Donowho have joined the cast of writer/director Jesse Baget's Mississippi Wild. Robert Duvall, Mickey Rourke, Forest Whitaker are also in negotiations to come aboard this independently produced drama.

The story centers on a teen (Ryan Donowho) who is forced to go on the run after stealing diamonds from a local gangster. Dakota Fanning will play the girlfriend who goes along for the ride, while Mickey Rourke will play the gangster.

Forest Whitaker will play an opposing gangster who has long been out to kill Mickey Rourke's character. There is no word on who Robert Duvall may be gearing up to play.

Mississippi Wild is set to go before the camera on March 21 in Atlanta, Georgia.
