Over the weekend, Netflix debuted Season 2 of Daredevil on the streaming service, and many fans have already binge-watched the entire 13-episode run. One of those viewers is YouTuber Mr. Sunday Movies, who put together a comprehensive five-minute video detailing all of the Easter Eggs and references to Marvel Comics characters throughout this latest adventure for the Man with No Fear. Naturally, if you haven't watched the full season yet, there will be SPOILERS below, so read on at your own risk.

One of the posters released for Daredevil Season 2 featured Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) in chains, which is a nod to a famous comic entitled The Choice. In the season itself, we see this scene unfold, where The Punisher has chained up Daredevil and given him a gun with the ultimatum that he must kill someone, with some of the exact lines of dialogue pulled directly from the comic itself. There are also references to a comic arc entitled The People Vs. Frank Castle, which leads to a prison fight between The Punisher and Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio).

There are also some connections to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as the Dogs of Hell from Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and a number of references to the Battle of New York in Marvel's The Avengers. There is even a reference to the 2008 movie The Incredible Hulk, where the Green Goliath, played by Edward Norton, destroyed Harlem. We don't see any actual existing characters from the MCU in this season, but it's certainly possible if another season is ordered by Netflix.

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell's Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame - Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung). Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt's neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero. Rosario Dawson is also returning as Claire Temple, along with Scott Glenn as Stick.

These new episodes come on the heels of a successful first season of Netflix's second Marvel TV series, Jessica Jones, which has since been picked up for a second season. It was also recently confirmed that Luke Cage will debut on September 30, but we still don't known when Iron Fist will debut. These two characters, along with Daredevil and Jessica Jones, will join forces in the miniseries The Defenders, which is expected to debut sometime in 2017. Check out this new video breaking down all of the Daredevil Season 2 Easter Eggs. What did you think of this new season?
