Just under three months after Marvel's Daredevil started streaming its first season on Netflix, fans are already clamoring for the second season, which will premiere next year. As it turns out, casting is already under way for Marvel's Daredevil Season 2, and two audition tapes surfaced and were removed quickly thereafter, which appear to be for the Elektra character. The videos show actresses Shiva Kalaiselvan and Louisa Mignone both reading the same two scenes apiece, the first of which appears to be with Elektra and one of her criminal victims, and the other with Elektra and Matt Murdock during their time in college.

Of course, the character Elektra is never mentioned by name, and the videos themselves state each actor is reading for the role of "Elise," but that character name could certainly be fake. It's worth noting that Elden Henson's Foggy Nelson mentioned that Elektra was of Greek descent in the first season of Marvel's Daredevil, and both actresses certainly seem to have the exotic look that Marvel is presumably looking for in the role. If these actresses aren't actually trying out for the Elektra role, though, what other role could it be?

Shiva Kalaiselvan doesn't have any movie or TV credits to her name, but she has starred in several New York theater productions. Louisa Mignone starred in Wish You Were Here and the upcoming Infini on the big screen. The fact that these videos were removed in a matter of hours only helps validate that these actresses were, in fact, trying out for the Elektra role. Stay tuned for more updates on Marvel's Daredevil Season 2, and we'll be sure to bring you these audition tapes if they happen to surface once again.
