Last month, Marvel revealed that actor Jon Bernthal has signed on to play The Punisher in Season 2 of Netflix's Marvel's Daredevil, debuting sometime in 2016. Very little is known about how this beloved character will be introduced on the show, or if he will be included in any of the other Netflix shows such as Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Marvel's Luke Cage and Marvel's Iron Fist. Jon Bernthal took to his Twitter page to show off one of the Punisher comic books he's reading, and the comic book shop Hypno Comics in Venice, California also shared a photo with the actor, revealing that they helped him choose some comics to read in preparation for the role. Here's what a representative from the store said on their official Instagram account.

"Jon Bernthal liked the stuff I gave him to read, hooked up again today. He's doing his work! It feels good to know I'm helping my favorite Superhero show in some small way. #punisher #daredevil #netflix #marvel #hype #nerdnews #hypnocomics"

Of course, it hasn't been confirmed if any of these comic stories will be implemented in Marvel's Daredevil yet, since it isn't known when production will begin on the new season. We reported last week that Daredevil Season 2 showrunner Marco Ramirez has described the season as "Daredevil vs. The Punisher," with Punisher called "a serial killer who targets criminals." The Punisher won't exactly be the villain of the season, but it seems that these two crime-fighters may be targeting the same people. While we wait for more details about the season on Netflix, check out the actor's new photos with his comics below.
