On March 25, Warner Bros. will bring their greatest heroes together on the big screen with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, as The Dark Knight, The Man of Steel and Wonder Woman prepare for battle. Marvel will be countering this 'trinity', so to speak, with a kick-ass trio of their own, as Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) joins forces with Elektra Nachios (Elodie Yung) and Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) in Daredevil Season 2. Just hours after Netflix debuted a new poster for these upcoming episodes, the streaming service has released a trailer that shows all three of these very different street vigilantes suiting up for war in Hell's Kitchen.

Both Elektra and Punisher are new additions to the hit Netflix series this year. There were rumors that The Punisher was getting his own show, but Marvel TV's Jeph Loeb shot down that show's development. Instead, fans will get a whole season's worth of Elektra and the vengeful Punisher in just a few short weeks as part of Daredevil's ongong storyline. There were rumors that Netflix was planning to debuting this latest season on the same date Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters, March 25. That proved to be false. Instead, we'll see Matt Murdock return a few weeks earlier on March 18.

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell's Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame - Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung). Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt's neighborhood.

Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero. Rosario Dawson is also returning as Claire Temple, along with Scott Glenn as Stick. There have been rumors that the iconic comic book villain Bullseye may show up this season, but that has never been confirmed. These new episodes come on the heels of a successful first season of Netflix's second Marvel TV series, Jessica Jones, which has since been picked up for a second season. Back in November, a cryptic teaser hinted that Daredevil Season 2 may cross over with the third series, Luke Cage, suggesting that Luke may have taken over Matt's local bar, Josies.

The streaming service still hasn't announced when the last two Marvel shows, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, will debut. These two characters, along with Daredevil and Jessica Jones, will join forces in the miniseries The Defenders. What do you think about the Hell's Kitchen trio of Daredevil, Elektra and The Punisher? Stay tuned for more on Daredevil as we inch closer and closer to the March 18 premiere.
