Paramount Pictures is in talks to acquire the George Washington biopic The General. The studio is exclusively eyeing the project under their first-look deal with director Darren Aronofsky.

Details on the film's plot are being kept under wraps, but we do know that it will feel more like Unforgiven than a historical drama.

Darren Aronofsky will be directing and producing this movie if the studio decides to pick up the film. Adam Cooper and Bill Collage wrote the script. The director is also currently looking for his cast on the biblical film Noah, with the Judy Garland biopic Get Happy also on the horizon.

This project is still in early development.
